Super ATV’s 8" GDP Portal Gear Lift for the Honda Talon 1000X gives you massive ground clearance and a choice of 45% or 60% gear reduction, letting you run bigger tires while gaining the torque needed for extreme terrain.
The 45% reduction is great for tackling deep mud, while 60% delivers even more low-end power for monstrous tires and the toughest conditions. Because the gear reduction happens at the hubs instead of the transmission, it also helps reduce stress and wear on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission.
Built for serious abuse, GDP portals feature precision-ground 9310 alloy steel gears, reinforced cast or USA-made billet aluminum housings, 5/16" heavy-duty steel-alloy backing plates, durable seals and gaskets, and high-strength bearings. Universal hubs with slotted stainless-steel rotors provide reliable braking and support popular UTV wheel bolt patterns.
An 8" portal setup requires a frame stiffener to reinforce the Talon’s frame and handle the increased forces of aggressive riding.

- (4) Assembled portal hub boxes complete with 9310 gears, seals, output shaft, Thermo-Tork® gaskets, and thrust bearings
- (4) Specialized steel alloy backing plates

- (4) Steel caliper mounting plates
- (2) Heavy-duty lower ball joints preinstalled

- All required hardware, including recessed castle nut socket
