EVP offers two ways to unlock your MG1 ECU. For $1,000, you can choose the Zero Downtime option, where EVP ships you a fully unlocked MG1 ECU so you can get your vehicle running right away. Delivery can take up to 2 weeks.
Once you receive it, you’ll use the CodeShooter 2.0 App to pair the new ECU to your vehicle, allowing you to flash it anywhere you have Wi-Fi or cellular service. ***You then have 14 days to return your original ECU (30 days for international orders) to receive a full refund of the $1,000 core charge. Be sure to include your sales order/invoice when returning it. (Call to be emailed the ECU Submission form)
The other option is the MG1 ECU Send-In Service. You remove your ECU and ship it to EVP’s Wisconsin facility. The unlock takes approximately 5–7 business days after EVP receives it, so you should expect your vehicle to be without the ECU for about one week, including shipping time. During holidays or promotional periods, allow 10–14 business days. You are responsible for the shipping cost to EVP, and they’ll return the ECU via UPS Ground (U.S. orders). Remove the ECU mounting brackets before shipping it, and include the required ECU submission form with your ECU.
