The OEM charge tube is weak and prone to splitting under high boost, which can lead to performance and throttle-response issues.
It also doesn’t provide a port for a BOV/BRV, which helps prevent compressor surge when the throttle closes and reopens at speed.
EVP Silicone Charge Tubes are built for high-performance applications, featuring a 1" BOV port, six-layer reinforced construction, and support for over 80 PSI of boost.
They also include quality T-bolt clamps for a secure, leak-free connection. These upgraded charge tubes are now available for 2018+ non-intercooled X3 Turbo base models.
