  • AA Custom Tuned RTD4 (ECM & TCM Tune) Details:
    • This is the best way to flash your ECM/TCM as it gives you control of your ECM to flash different tunes, get AA tune updates, and has engine/trans diagnostics & data logging capabilities. Purchasing a flash only (no device) is not ideal as you cannot receive updates or diagnostics.
    • Requires ECU to be sent in to HP Tuners be unlocked UNLESS PURCHASING ECM (and/or TCM) OUTRIGHT** After the initial unlock, the ECU can now be flashed at any time using the AA/HP Tuners RTD4 and your smart phone.
      • DOES NOT require sending in your TCM (Transmission Control Module) as you can flash this without an unlock.
      • Standard Unlock Process(Average 5-10 business days): Within 1 business day after purchase, we will send you instructions on sending your ECU to HP tuners. You will be responsible for shipping the ECU to HP tuners. Once at HP tuners, the ECU will take 1-5 business days for HP tuners to unlock. Your ECU will then be sent back via standard ground shipping. Turnaround time greatly varies on your location and how long ground shipping takes to/from HP tuners in Illinois.
      • Express Unlock Process (Average 3-5 business days): **For the continental US 48 states ONLY** We will send you a UPS Next Day Air label and instructions. You will need to attach this label to your own ECU package, then give the package to your local UPS drop-off location. Once at HP tuners, the ECU will take 1-5 business days for HP tuners to unlock. The ECU will then be sent back to you via Next Day shipping. All other parts on the express flash order will be shipped ground unless otherwise specified/selected during order checkout. Keep in mind we cannot guarantee the same day programming or control UPS shipping times/delays. We will do everything possible to turn the ECU around as fast as possible.
      • ECU Outright Option is available for those who want to purchase a complete ECU outright that is unlocked and not have to deal with sending anything to us. If purchasing the ECU outright, please list your VIN # in the checkout notes, or send a message with the VIN # when able.
      • TCM (Transmission controller) Purchase Outright: As available, we have TCM's that can be purchased outright. having a new/different TCM & ECM together gives you the best chance of keeping the warranty on your vehicle. This purchase price is for a new TCM with the OEM/most recent Polaris calibration. Once receiving, you would still need to flash our AA tune file into the TCM with the HP tuners software.
      • When sending your ECU: ENSURE you INSURE your ECU for $700. AA is not responsible for shipping delays or lost ECUs. While more expensive over Priority Mail or FedEx, UPS has been the most reliable carrier in our experience.
      • We'll follow up with instructions for ECU removal
    • Confused by the above? Well, here are our two favorite options:
      • 1. If you are trying to keep the warranty intact, your best bet is to purchase the ECU & TCM outright
      • 2. If not concerned about warranty but want the quickest/easiest way to flash, purchase just the ECU outright. This is our preferred method as everything shows up in the box and you are ready to read the ECU/TCM, then wait for us to build the file.
    • After unlocking, the RTD4 device allows you to flash the ECM, data log engine parameters, and view/erase trouble codes. This is key for those wanting several tune calibrations as it allows you more than just a simple flash, it allows you to change or go back to a "stock unlocked" file if need be.
    • Iphone or Android smartphone required to flash
    • Includes HP Tuners RTD4, OBDII to Polars Diagnostic Port cable, necessary credits to flash your ECM, needed credits to flash your TCM, one AA custom ECM tune (more tunes optional), AA Transmission tune, TCM Flash Adapter, and ECU Unlock which is performed at HP Tuners facility in Illinois.
    • Looking for the best/most badass ECU tuning available for your Ranger 1500? AA's performance tunes are here to gain big horsepower and torque. Through our advanced ECU tuning we are able to modify parameters correctly to gain you the power needed. We are highly experienced in tuning these models, and this will show. We have spent many months and logged over 1500 miles developing our ECM/TCM calibration and found huge gains. Both the ECM/TCM need to be flashed as they work together for final torque requests and output.
    • The steel belt CVT is a completely new animal in the off-road world. Speaking with engineers involved in this project, we have our tuning limited to 72 mph on stock tires and do not push the overdrive limits of this transmission. This is for a good reason until proper reliability testing can be done. We suggest adding 32-33" tires to your Ranger to gear it up and get that 80 mph which is a safer way to go. The great part about purchasing the HP tuners device is that you can update your flash if higher shift ratios or other updates are found. We always continue to test and better the calibrations, and this gives you the tool to keep them up to date (if need be).
    • The steel belt CVT has many annoying limitations built into it. Some were taken care of through Polaris updates, but many were not. We increase some of these limits to a safe level, but you should always use caution when in a high load situation. These transmissions should have a low range gear set, but do not. They only hold the clutch in a lower shift ratio, so when increasing torque limits, make sure you do not overexceed your vehicle's ability. We do keep clutch temp limits in place which are the most important. This means it can still go into limp mode when trying to crawl over an obstacle, and this is only worse with larger tires. We suggest nothing over a 33" tire if you are using these vehicles to crawl/climb over obstacles often.
    • We can raise or remove clutch temp limits if you wish to get around limp mode when crawling, but this disables a major transmission safety, and we cannot be responsible for damages that could occur. These transmissions are non-serviceable and replaced as a whole.
    • Gains are massive in sport mode on 91-93 octane and gives the vehicle a completely new feel. Extremely torquey and fun to drive in sport mode! Also improved performance in every other mode, just not as big of an increase to keep drivability/RPM lower.
    • AA's wicked timing curve is safe for the fuel octane recommended, but we do a much better job of finding timing limits for ramp up/more torque. Many others simply focus on wide open throttle timing/fueling.
    • Better start-up fueling. Helps with hard starts when cold!
    • AA's extensively modified fuel curve will still get good mileage cruising, but will be corrected for the best power on ramp up and wide open throttle.
    • Pedal to torque request tables altered to give you much better pedal response
    • Radiator fan on/off is 185/181 (Stock is 189/185). Fan speed is progressive, so we also ramp in fan speed much quicker which is where big cooling benefits come from.
    • Rev limit at 7000 (Stock is 6500)
    • 2-foot limits removed (gas/brake at the same time)
    • Seatbelt limiter can be disabled
    • Torque limitations are properly raised to prevent throttle cut

    • AA Custom Tune Options:
      • Level 1 - 87 Octane (+20 HP): Designed for stock exhaust and 87-octane fuel. Designed for maximum performance and reliability for the stock exhaust.
      • Level 1 - 87 Octane ECO Tune: Economy tune for 87 octane will have lower RPM/power than the standard 87-octane tune. Slightly leaner fuel curve and lowers shift out RPM and peak RPM to keep fuel economy as good as it can be.
      • Level 1 - 91 Octane (+30 HP): Designed for stock exhaust and 91-93 octane fuel. Designed for maximum performance and reliability for the stock exhaust.
      • Level 1 - 91 Octane ECO Tune: Economy tune for 91-93 octane will have lower RPM/power than the standard 91-octane tune. Slightly leaner fuel curve and lowers shift out RPM and peak RPM to keep fuel economy as good as it can be.
      • Level 2 tunes are the same as above, but with fueling/timing differences for our free-flowing Dual Suppressor exhaust. This is an additional +10 HP for a total of +40 HP over stock. We also slightly alter transmission calibrations to match the power curve of an aftermarket exhaust.
      • Winter tune options: For all the above tunes, we have "winter" tune options as well. This option has a higher than stock fan turn on temp and altered progressive fan mapping to keep the vehicle running warmer for hotter heat. Keep in mind if cruising at higher speeds, you may need to block the radiator to take advantage of this.
    • Not just dyno tested! We love to dyno to back up our results, but we are avid riders and like the factory, a ton of the testing is done in the field to make sure you are getting 110%. You simply can't get any better testing than real-world. Often times we can make significant changes to further increase power, drivability, and feel of the machine that can never be done on the dyno. We have a longer history of tuning off-road vehicles than nearly all competitors, and this will show.
    • Modifying your ECM & TCM will void your warranty due to how intertwined the two are and how they both store data.

  • AA Dual Suppressor Slip-On Exhaust details:
    • Dual muffler design links 2 mufflers with a v-band clamp for easy installation
    • With our dual muffler design, this exhaust sounds amazing with a nice deep tone but not louder than the OEM exhaust. At idle, off idle, and wide-open throttle you will notice a tiny bit more rumble/lower exhaust note. When cruising, this exhaust is as quiet or quieter than the stock exhaust. The deeper tone helps cover up some of the engine noise/drone. You will love the sound.
    • Includes a removable 2" spark arrestor
    • Gains a massive 7-8 RWHP (10 crank horsepower) and gains a ton of lower RPM horsepower/torque compared to a single muffler due to the increased volume.
    • Much better airflow and eliminates the stock catalytic converter which is needed to decrease engine and exhaust heat
    • Fits nicely into the factory location and allows the bed to dump fully
    • Made from stainless steel right here at our facility in the USA
      • Tumbled to a lightly polished finish that looks great!
    • Can be used with the factory tune or our Level 1 tune without issue but will run even better and gain the most power with our Level 2 tune designed for this exhaust.
