Installing the TPR Double Shear Hub Kit depends on whether you’re reusing your stock hubs or purchasing new hubs that come fully assembled.
What You Need for Installation:

If purchasing an unassembled kit without new hubs: Add the TPR026 installation kit, which includes locating pins, a press sleeve, and a stepped reamer for modifying the brake rotor and wheel holes to fit the larger 1/2 inch wheel studs.

If purchasing new hubs with the double shear kit fully assembled: You only need the TPR026 stepped reamer to enlarge the brake rotor and wheel holes for the 1/2 inch studs.

If using 12mm studs: The reamer is NOT needed.

Increased stud engagement: Doubles engagement from 0.350” to 0.700” to help support heavier loads.

Stronger wheel studs: Upgrades to larger ARP ½-inch studs.

Patented double shear rings: Two-piece design locks behind the hub flange for added support.

No hub modifications required: Press out the factory studs, install the rings, and press in the new studs.

Reduced wheel stress: Recommended wheel torque is 120 ft-lbs, compared with the factory Pro R specification of 148 ft-lbs.

Made in-house: TPR manufactures its double shear rings in-house.
NOTE:
- When upgrading to 1/2 inch studs, the brake rotor holes MUST be reamed.
- Most wheels already have holes large enough, but check yours before installation.
- Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and torque specifications.
