Speedwerx Polaris General 1000 / Hypershift Clutch Kit - 27"-30" Tires
SMOOTH! is the best word to describe our clutch set up on the General models. The calibration of this kit is designed for the everyday trail rider and cruiser who is looking for a smooth and quiet ride with out sacrificing overall power and performance. The stock calibration is jerky and clunky, has a low speed chatter or shake to it, and is hard to hold consistent speeds. Our kit address all of these issues while increasing cruising speeds and reducing decibel readings in the cab. Kit comes compete with our fully adjustable weights, preset to our specs and ready for install, new primary and secondary springs, and a fully progressive multi angle helix.
Features
- Smoother engagement and low speed operation.
- Speed gains throughout the RPM range with a 14mph gain at 7000 RPM!
- Quieter in the cab- the 3dB reduction is nearly a 30% decrease in sound pressure level.

Fitment
- 2020-2026 Polaris General 1000
Note
Sound Pressure Level as measured on an Electronic Decibel Meter is not a linear scale like the Speed or RPM is- a 6 dB lower reading represents a 50% reduction in the sound pressure level. Likewise, a 6 dB increase represents a 100% increase or doubling of the sound pressure level. The 3 dB reduction this kit provides throughout the RPM range is equivalent to nearly a 30% decrease in the sound pressure level.
Our own ears perceive sound differently than an electronic decibel meter- in addition to the objective factor of sound pressure level as measured on a dB meter, subjective factors like the frequency or pitch, and duration or time of exposure to the sounds are part of what affect our perception of loudness. The number differences recorded on the dB meter may not look like a big change if you think in terms of a linear scale, and video recorded on a GoPro and played back on poor quality speakers on your phone or computer cannot accurately reproduce what you hear with your own ears, but when driving the machine you can definitely hear some of the change that makes it more pleasant sounding in the cab.
SpeedWerx (About)
The roots of Speedwerx go back to the 80’s and 90’s, when owner Steve Houle was designing and building parts for his own race sleds. His innovative ideas spoke for themselves as he proved to be a dominating force in snowmobile racing, winning many races and multiple world championships along the way. Soon other competitors and consumers were asking for their own race-proven parts, and that led to the creation of the Hot Seat Performance brand in 1994, and the Speedwerx brand in 1999.
For over 25 years, the Speedwerx family has been committed to winning. Whether it is on the race track with our own machines, or helping our customers achieve their goals with our products, Speedwerx is a proven winner in many different racing disciplines including Snowmobiles, ATV’s, UTV’s, PWC’s, and Dirt Track Racing Cars. With 200+ World and National titles, 31 X-Games Medals (15 Gold!), and Thousands of trips to Victory Lane, Speedwerx is known and respected worldwide as an industry icon that sets the bar when it comes to performance, quality, and service.
The staff here at Speedwerx takes pride in our work and the products we manufacture. Most of our products are made right here in the USA and we feel that this is as important to our customers as it is to us. Our products are designed to perform in the toughest and most demanding conditions, and are thoroughly tested with thousands of laps on the track and thousands of miles on the trails and in the backcountry every year. If you’re searching for the best performing and highest quality parts for your Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo, or Yamaha Snowmobile, ATV, UTV, or your Dirt Track Race Car, look no further than Speedwerx.
