RPM Fab - Can-Am Maverick R Carbon Fiber High Flow Intake System

When we set out to build this intake we knew we wanted it to be hands down the best flowing, best material, and best filtrating intake. Starting at the bottom we have a custom formed fluorolined silicone coupler that seamlessly mates to the turbine housing providing uninterrupted airflow where most needed. The carbon intake tube, well, it's a work of art. The data doesn't lie, this is a precisely engineered intake for any amount of air needed. We tweaked and modified this intake gaining a massive amount of volume and aligned its flow path until we had the absolute highest intake velocity speeds. Rather than using the restrictive factory intake tube size, we enlarged it to 5 inches at the filter. For a filter, we chose to team up with S&B, an industry leader in dry filter technology. This 8ply, Dry Extendable Filter can be reused. These filters provide more airflow without restriction than a Maverick R is capable of flowing. We wanted to never reach the limits of this intake! Wrapped around the filter is RPM's famous hydrophobic pre-filter to keep larger dirt and sand particles off the filter, further extending service intervals. While some companies see bent sheet metal as an acceptable form of mounting intakes, they soon find out why it's not. We use a 6061 2-piece billet mount that uses factory hardware for mounting and requires no modifications of the chassis. Although we recommend the use of a RPM Catch Can, the factory crankcase breather port is in place and in the factory location.

The Rotax 3-cylinder motor loves airflow like any forced induction motor does. Horsepower gains are what we like to explain as compounding. The more work done, or higher level of tune used, the more compounding the gains from an intake will be. Tunes with increased limiters will see massive gains.
