Bikeman Performance | Smooth Shift Secondary Teflon Washers
PTFE Teflon secondary washers are a simple but effective upgrade for performance clutch kits.
Made from a highly durable, low-friction material, they help improve overall clutch feel and performance. By reducing spring bind, these washers allow for smoother shifting and more consistent clutch engagement, while also helping to lower clutch temperatures. In some cases, they can even increase peak RPM by about 25–50 RPM.
For best results, the washers can be stacked as needed, making this an easy and worthwhile modification for optimizing clutch performance.
For the Polaris Pro R, turbocharged or supercharged setups benefit from using two sets (four total) of these Teflon washers to shim the secondary spring. This added spacing increases belt grip, resulting in improved clutch performance and better power transfer.
