Take your build to extreme territory with the SuperATV 6” Portal Gear Lift for the Can-Am Defender HD11. Designed for riders who want maximum ground clearance, massive torque gains, and the ability to run bigger tires without destroying their drivetrain, this GDP (Gear Driven Performance) portal system completely transforms your machine.
This kit delivers a true 6 inches of lift while integrating gear reduction directly into the hub. By relocating gear reduction to the wheel ends, stress is removed from critical drivetrain components like axles, differentials, driveshafts, and transmissions. The result is more usable torque at the wheels and less long-term wear on your Defender HD11.
Choosing the right gear reduction is key. The 30% option offers a strong balance of torque and trail speed, making it ideal for aggressive riding and mixed terrain. Step up to 45% reduction if you’re running larger tires or tackling deep mud and demanding terrain where maximum power and control matter most. With 6” portals installed, you can run up to 34” tires on a stock suspension setup.
Built for extreme punishment, these portals feature your choice of cast or billet aluminum housings paired with rugged 5/16” advanced steel alloy backing plates that outperform chromoly. The housings are reinforced for superior gear retention and optimized oil flow to maintain performance under heavy loads. There are no gimmicks and no vents—because real-world testing proved vents can cause more harm than good.
Inside, premium sealing and bearing components ensure long-lasting reliability. Advanced gaskets and O-rings resist oil deterioration. A sealed input gear, double-lipped output seal, and full sealing coverage help eliminate leaks. Double-angular contact output bearings prevent premature wear, while roller idler and drive bearings maintain perfect gear meshing under extreme torque.
