This is what upgrading a Maverick R from 13 gallons to 19 gallons looks like—while retaining every single factory panel in its original place. Even the factory “Smart” systems fuse block remains in its stock location. No aftermarket bolts, straps, or screws are used. Nothing is cut, bent, or modified.
The factory fuel pump, fill neck, vent line, and fuel-level sensor are all retained, resulting in a more accurate OEM-style fuel gauge reading.
It’s no secret the Maverick R consumes fuel quickly, and when you add higher boost, tuning, or E85, fuel economy disappears fast. RPM’s precisely engineered, rotomolded OEM-replacement fuel tank increases capacity from the stock 13 gallons to a massive 19 gallons—without sacrificing any interior or dash components. There’s no loss of glovebox space, no rerouting of factory systems, and full clearance is maintained for the factory Smart Control Module.
Installation is clean and hassle-free, utilizing the factory fuel pump, breather line, tank straps, fill cap, seal, and fuel-level sensor. The OEM pump continues to read accurately, eliminating the guesswork and range anxiety. This setup has been extensively tested and proven in Baja under extreme terrain and by some of the toughest racers in the sport.
Constructed from 7.5mm-thick, ethanol-safe rotomolded plastic, the RPM fuel tank is significantly stronger than the factory unit. A factory-style rollover one-way valve is securely retained using a precision-machined 6061 billet retention block, ensuring safety and durability in the harshest conditions.
