The RS-8 is a partial-mechanical muffler specifically designed for UTV applications. A maximized muffler volume gives the result of enhanced performance and increased durability. A CNC rolled aluminum muffler sleeve supports the muffler on CNC laser-cut brackets.
RS-8 UTV slip-ons are manufactured from stainless steel with an aluminum sleeve muffler. They also have a deep draw polished stainless steel endcap with the Yoshimura logo etched onto the cap for a nice finishing touch. The muffler itself is quite unique for UTV applications. Yoshimura spent a lot of time developing the internals of this muffler. Exhaust gases first flow through a straight baffle which leads into a large volume perforated chamber. From there, gases flow into a floated baffle that is integrated into the endcap. This design doubles as both, a spark arrestor and keeps engine sounds to a nature-friendly level. The overall design produces big increases in power and torque output.
